The event is organised by the Pro Loco di Isola Dovarese and takes place on the afternoon of 8 December between Piazza Matteotti and Via Garibaldi, in Isola Dovarese.
In Father Christmas’s Village you can find elves’ houses, stuffed reindeer, little trees and Father Christmas who, on his big throne, helped by a group of young elves, receives children’s letters amidst snow and Christmas music.
In the square, a Christmas market is held with many stalls of hobbyists and exhibitors while the singing of Fanfarone, the Christmas chimney sweep, resounds. While waiting for the arrival of Saint Lucy and the donkey, the little ones can take part in the great games organised in the square, while the older ones can shop at the stalls or refresh themselves with mulled wine, tea, chocolate or roasted chestnuts and sausage sandwiches.
